Founder’s Letter – Blazing a New Trail – Tara Owens
For over two decades, the Ojai Valley has held a very special place in my heart.
The deeply rooted members of the community with families spanning generations fighting to preserve and protect the Ojai Valley has been awe-inspiring to watch.
With that same preservation mindset and to honor the soul of the community, our first cover feature story profiles the legendary story of vaquero Dan Lopez, a fourth-generation Ojai horseman and hall of famer.
This town is rich in history, deeply spiritual, filled with cowboys, creatives and everything in between, Ojai Life & Style will focus on the important stories that affect the community and build a strong platform for local voices to be heard.
For the last decade, I have been the Director of Lifestyle for multiple publications and to be able to co-found a magazine that digs deep into this inspiring town is an opportunity – and a challenge – I deeply appreciate and will nurture for years to come.
