Born and raised in Ventura, Kelsey Lindsey always knew that she wanted to get into aesthetics. Always inspired by her mother, a nurse in the same field, Lindsey was ready to take the leap after being a nurse in the ICU for ten years and completing the nurse practitioner program at USC. Lindsey officially opened Ojai Valley Med Spa in 2021.
Kelsey’s love for Ojai and downtown makes it the perfect location for a beautiful wellness and aesthetic center that specializes in natural looking injectables, medical grade skincare and IV nutrition. Kelsey also has a selection of lasers for all different skincare concerns.
I sat down recently with Kelsey to talk more about her experience in the industry and Ojai Valley Med Spa.
Why does the world need another med-spa?
The aesthetic world is just getting started. There are so many advances in technology that the need and want for aesthetic services is growing rapidly. The fact that people can get aesthetic services done and still stay looking natural, while feeling great about themselves is what this is all about.
What do you bring to the industry that’s different from other med spas?
I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be heard when expressing their concerns. I believe that I can incorporate a sense of wellbeing combining the mind, body, and soul into my practice. I believe that offering results that are natural while making patients feel good about themselves from the inside out is the foundation of aesthetics.
Do you give back to your community?
I am constantly donating services in the community to various businesses raising money for the different reasons. I like to donate to the schools for their silent auctions, I have also donated to Tiny Topas and Our Lady of Assumption. My husband is also a Firefighter in Ojai, so we are embedded in the community.
Why did you choose Ojai?
Ojai is such a beautiful and serene place. I have always loved it up here. I saw a need for this type of service in town which is why I decided to open the main Med Spa location in Ojai. For a while I had two locations, one in Ojai and one in Ventura. I now work solely in Ojai.
